I just got a PC7424XP for polishing. Would it be best to apply my LSP by hand or with the PC. Any advantages to applying by PC? Also would I use a red LC pad to do the application?

1. Quick application
2. Even application
3. Less product used/wasted
4. and I think even Mike says something along the lines if it can be done with a machine do it that way.

red pad would be fine.

:iagree: It hard to argue with good information....

For some time now I've applied all my sealants and waxes with my Porter Cable 7424 dual action polisher using a red or blue foam pad...

There are only a few waxes I apply by hand. 1 being Klasse Sealant Glaze and the other being Fuzion because it's so relaxing. But pretty much everything else I use my PC7424XP. Its much faster, applies thinner, and I use less product :)

I usually apply sealants and waxes by machine. Only exceptions for me would be Fuzion or Souveran as they are a delight to work with and in a way you get to really get a feel for the cars curves lol.

I say you try both methods and then decide which you like best. I apply by machine, except for ultima paint guard plus (UPGP).

i always apply sealant by machine..I apply wax by machine sometimes as well. I normally do it by hand just cause I get nervous popping the wax out of the jar and I can just see me slipping and plop wax on ground and no good now.
