I'll be honest...that's a pretty test panel being sanded and what not. Matte look all even. Dunno why but I find it mesmerizing :D

About a month before SEMA I went to the Snake Road Salvage and snagged a couple of trunk lids for test panels instead of hoods because they're smaller and you really don't need a large squarish hood for most demonstrations.

The one in the picture is the flatter, more rectangular of the two I pulled and after I finish my report on this first test I have 5 more product to test, 4 of which require a flat surface.

This first set of test is finished and the hood is now back to flawless, that is no sanding marks, no swirls, no DA haze, no toweling marks.

Just sharing some behind the scenes pictures of some of the things that go on that most people never see...

Doing the testing is fun, there's lots of "controls" for each step that take time to implement but overall it's a fun part of the job.

Typing up the report and processing the before, during and after pictures is time consuming but back up the written portion of the reports...

Makes me smile thinking about when you first arrived in Stuart talking about the big plans you and Max had.

Glad to hear the job and your plans have provided you with so much happiness. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

I did share...

I shared a "few" pictures, can't show everything... (sorry), While I was taking pictures I just thought I would share a few sort of a behind the scenes look...

More to come? :props:

Usually... down the road... that's up to the manufacture and what they do with the results I send them and everyone else doing testing for them...

I bet all sections done with CarPro Fixer polish with different pads. Since they claim it's a polish that you can be versatile with different pads.
