Great job! Did you fill the scratches with touch up and then wet sand or just wet sand? Did you use sanding blocks or by hand?

Those must have been some old nasty bugs if you had to WS to get them off!

Actually I had the Owner buy Dr. Colorchip, but after the wetsanding process I only needed it for a couple of chips here and there did not use on the hood , I used a Megs sanding block 2000 grit then I used my griots 3 inch orbital on speed 3 with a trizact 3000 disc for finishing, although the hood came out great there are still some small bug marks that remain I am going to use the Dr.Colorchip and let it sit for a few days then try to finish off the rest

Those must have been some old nasty bugs if you had to WS to get them off!He drove to Georgia and back to Orlando problem is he didn't remove the bugs and he admitted it he just let it go, these bugs ate through the clear and the paint within 2 weeks time, these bugs ain't no joke they are a nightmare on paint

Outstanding Louie! Great job my freind! :props:
Thank you Flash appreciate it

Thanks Luxury, I was just as surprised the Lexus has a very nice Clear Coat I think that had a lot to do with it, spent all day Sunday Polishing it, lol gotta love that mirror finish:buffing:

Lou, I've been looking very forward to seeing this thread since we spoke. You've got a big set doing the wet sanding without a paint guage my friend!! (although I used to do it too, hehehehe). It came out great. I betcha the owner was just thrilled. I hope you get lots of referrals from this job! I was happy to help with the advice, but it was you who did the work and made it happen...congrats!!
