There are many 'please check out my website' threads, and this is mine. Please give it a look and feel free to comment if you have a minute

The site was active and almost done for about a month now. I have been adding photos, and creating blog posts so there is more content for my clients / potential clients to view (and you too AG forum)

My business is in its second year of existence, with no web presence to date. Strictly relying on networking, and word of mouth to this point. I know I'm good at cleaning cars, but graphic design not so much.

I paid to have the site designed by Robert Keppel of SEO4Detailers.com. I found him to be professional throughout the development of the site. He has a head for web design, detailing, and more importantly, marketing. I was left with something I'm pretty happy with, and have gotten some positive feedback so far from close friends.

The site 'launched' this morning and I blasted out a number of emails to friends / clients / contacts telling them about it. I've since been a busy bee on emails, and I've booked 2 jobs in response for upcoming weekends (with a handful of other positive leads). So clearly, the investment has already paid for itself.

I'm waiting for verification before I appear on google places. I'm currently on yelp.com, and I've already received 1 positive review (through prompting it on my contact page). I have a lot of other sites I need to post myself on.

Here is the homepage
Long Island Auto Detailing: Mr. Sparkle Mobile Detailing (http://www.mrsparkledetailing.com)

and please check the blog also and maybe even add it to your internet 'favorites' list. It is a FAR cry from some of the user reviews and show / shine threads on here. But it's some detailing eye candy, a little geek talk here and there, along a touch of humor spliced in. It will be updated routinely of course

Feel free to comment (go easy on me please). thanks for looking.

I really like it! Nice job!

If you ad a testimonial page, I'll leave you a solid review lol

I like it. Clean and Simple to navigate.

I only have a few suggestions, but other than that I think you did a great job.

- The text could use a little spacing from the left side of the page.
- I was going to say the "Design By" at the bottom ran off into the white of the page, but it isn't anymore, so it may just have been a browser error on my end.

Looks good Mr. Sparkle.

Some quick replies already, thanks guys

I should've mentioned the site was designed through wordpress. So the majority of things on the site are easy to change / update as I see fit.

I'm a noob with the wordpress thing, but maybe I will try move the text over a bit. and I think the other thing was a browser or hosting error

I have 1 legit testimonial spliced onto the corner of the 'services' page (that was a text I got after a job). Otherwise I'm trying to build the reviews / testimonials on the web. On yelp (for now) and hopefully google places once I'm listed there. I didn't realize I'd have to wait 2 weeks to complete the verification by regular mail

Nice and simple but looks good.

Only thing I see is on your Mini Detail your external mentions a Exterior Detail yet you call it a Express exterior at the top of the page so it made me go looking to see what I missed.

It's alright but your SEO just doesn't exist. So, in case you want people to find you through Google, etc, chances of that happening are pretty slim.

Very nice looking and easy to navigate, Mr. Burgess. :dblthumb2:

(Do me a favor, though, if you don't mind......
Please quit leaning on that vehicle on your home-page)...Because....

Thanks for all the comments!

I didn't catch the 'express exterior' / 'express detail' error. I corrected it now in the service descriptions. thank you

Regarding my SEO or lack thereof, I realize I currently don't exist or hardly exist in the eyes of google. I have had zero web presence to date. Not even a facebook page. So this is step 1, day 1. I plan to list myself on a variety of sites. And trying to generate as much attention to the site as possible by notifying everyone I know. Long Island is a competitive market and I don't know that'll I'll ever top the search results for my area. But I currently still have a full time 9-5 job, along with the detailing biz. So my current lack of exposure on search engines is ok for now. For the time being this is just a place to direct clients / potential clients

And I see even pockets chimed in here. not sure if you noticed, but I'm giving poorboys a tiny bit of exposure here too. The first blog post is from the detailing meet over the summer with the giant inflatable. And I mention on the services page that I use products from a variety of sources including poorboy's world

Thanks again guys.

Very well done and the blog angle is brilliant. It makes the reader more involved and doesn't read like an advertisement. I don't know your area but in all honesty your prices seem incredibly low. I could not possibly survive, especially being mobile, with those prices. It's pretty hard to raise them once "in print" so think that over well.

Very nice. Might have to give mr. Keppel a shout. He made the template for my current page. Want something more personal now.
