Please dont mind the filth as my car hasn't been washed in a few weeks due to being too busy...Its so damn dirty right now...

I first noticed these specs on the passenger side c pillar...I tried to clay bar them but nothing...They are smooth but have now gradually moved down to the tail light area and over a good bit of the quarter panel now...There has been no compounding or polishing on the car in the past few months since they are started to appear...

And its just in that one spot...Just the top of the rear quarter up to the c pillar...It saddens me as it looks to me like clear coat failure or the spot of the car...The car has NEVER been in an accident and has never had any repair work done to it...

After I saw these spots I got kinda down in the dumps on cleaning the car so I have kinda let it go lately as its taken a back seat to alot more important things in my life...

I have thought about clear coat failure but have yet to see anyone with the same issue...Typically clearcoat failure is cracks and such and look like spider webs...These are just dots...On a 2008 Acura with 50K miles that has been garage kept all its life up to 3 months ago...

I'd be saying clear coat failure.

I've personally seen it start as just dots before.

Looks like the beginning of clear coat failure to me. Can you take a closer macro shot?

I know honda has some serious issues with their paints...They will fix this seeing as its still under warranty...Or my insurance will fix it...

Nah not at all...I love the seats in the TL-S...I keep them maintained with a mixture of Leatherique and Zaino...

To the op.....if you even bought the car brand new you have no idea if its had any kind of paint work done......sometimes things get damaged in transit and repaired with no one ever knowing......

Its Hard to tell by your pics and without seeing it first hand I'll refrain from saying its a clear coat failure....but if you feel it is,take it back to dealer and see what they will do!

Most manufacturers have some kind of warranty on paint, that most people are unaware of.

This would be my suggestion....sorry if it is a failure as I would upset also. Don't let it get to you its a car and it CAN be repaired

Be tactfull and firm with the dealer and I feel you will get it fixed at NO CHARGE to you!

Well as far as I have been concerned since the date of it being brought to the dealer it has not had paint work done.

I will hit the section with some P40 when I get home and get some pictures with an actual camera to show...I will be taking the car to Acura tomorrow to have them look at it...
