My friend wants me to detail his 2011 metallic black dodge ram. I plan on picking up some klasse AIO and topping with megs 26 or 845 (I'm trying to research now which will pop more).

Is klasse AIO easier to apply by hand or PC? Will working it with the PC make it work/ shine better.....I have only 2 black and 2 white LC pads.......will this stuff wash out easily ?

also do you use your PC on plastic bumper covers? I used Poorboys PwC on my acura and my friends civic, as I wipe I feel a crazy static on the finish.

thanks

KAIO and PC are a very good combo. I normally use green pads but, depending on how much cut you are trying to get (KAIO has none on its own), use the appropriate pad.

I've only applied it by hand. Such a small amount is used I couldn't see using the PC. As a LSP I use the Klasse Sealant.

working it with the PC is better. Your pads will turn black from the amount of crap that comes off the paint.

I always use white pads when I use it on my black car, speed 5 on the GG6

KAIO comes off the pads no problem which tells me that it doesn't have much protection on it's own (DG501 however is very hard to get out of your pads)

would white pads micromar on a black finish ? I have only used white on metallics. This will be my first black vehicle.

Most likely not, but it depends how soft the paint is. Test section!

my paint is on the softer side and it didn't mar. The clear on the dodge is probably harder than my paint.

I actually tried to get out some micro marring (got during experiments with a cheap sponge I cut up like an LC blue and rinseless wash) with the KAIO and white pads since I read it can take out 3000 grit scratches. Didn't do a thing to them though...

I ordered a Griot's six inch polisher on the black friday sale with the CCS pads. I am a newbie at this and plan and using this first on a 2011 BMW cashmeree silver 535i. What CCS pads so you recommend for applying the Klass AIO and what speed is recommended?

I def will do a test section.....then an 50/50 IPA wipe to make sure I'm not marring. So you guys think col 845 will shine/ pop as much as megs 26? I Know col is MUCH more durable( I love it on my silver metallic)....i'm referring to the shine/ wetness.

here's my winter prep thread where I used the twins

still haven't topped the ksg cause I'm liking the fact that it sheds dirt much better than a wax hybrid like 845
