So my friends at work keep asking me about products, and most of the time they want an OTC product to use on their cars. So I'm looking for opinions on what you guys think the best OTC cleaner/wax is on the market.

Thanks!

Although there are better products offered online, Id go with NXT 2.0 for the best AIO offered over the counter.

Megs has a cleaner wax (it's been to long, I can't remember the name) that was part of their "3 step" package. I remember using it by hand when I was a teenager and it worked fairly well.

Meguiar's A12 cleaner wax, the deep red bottle one, or Color X for more cleaning power.
however if u are buying on Autogeek, try M20!

Duragloss 501

This. Not as widely available as the Meg's stuff, but depending where you are it may be findable.

Duragloss Marine & RV Polish #501

Is this the stuff? The marine RV polish? It's OK to use on cars?

Yeah, there's plenty of threads about it here.

first do your co workers want a chemical cleaning wax (to deep clean paint by a chemical method to pull dirt/contaminants out of the paint), an abrasive cleaner wax which will deep clean paint as well as remove very minor paint defects. for otc i would use meguiars A1214 or color X, however if you have a local napa autoparts or a carquest auto parts store they usualy have meguiars professional mirror glaze line, and the duragloss line. one person suggested mirror glaze #20 imo it is a very light cleaner sealant, even folks at meguiars say its the lightest duty paint cleaner they have, yes it does clean paint somewhat but not as much as A1214.if you order online XMT360 is an awesome all in one product which removes light swirls/scratches, cleans the paint, and leaves a nice layer of protection behind, i got pics of how this product does using a machine polisher if you want them reply and let me know....good luck finding a product!

DG501 is great but so is Mother's Carnauba cleaner wax. For readily available OTC, you aren't going to find anything with better cleaners. A plus is its ok durability wise. Looks nice left alone too.

Duragloss 501 will outlast anything over the counter and it doesn't stain trim unlike most OTC cleaners.

Yeah, this is a great attribute of the DG products vs. other OTC products.

Duragloss isn't local for me. So my vote goes to the Mothers cleaner Wax. It comes in Paste or liquid to suit ur preference.
