This isn't an advertisement, but has anyone read this one?

Automotive Detailing Haynes Techbook (http://www.haynes.com/products/productID/43)

Looks like they've had a head start on detailing how-to books..

Will Mike have some competition? j/k haha

Yeah, that cover picture looks great, looks like how I used to put wax on when I was 17....I think that wax was still stuck in the trim and emblems 21 years later when I junked the car.

That book is very outdated. I would stick to Mike's book.

As mike's book points out, paint has changed a lot in the last twenty years. Anything written pre 1990 is going to be very outdated. Hell, anything written pre 2004 VOC changes is going to be outdated at this point.

Good find. I wonder what could be written about coin-operated carwashes? Or even the three hour pro detail? That's what I need. I couldn't find the date the book was publised though.

That book is very outdated. I would stick to Mike's book.

1994 was a later reprint; I've had that same book since the mid-80s. :D

They sell kit at my local o'reillys.

Never heard of rally.

Yeah...Kit in the yellow can...my first wax...how did they sell that, "the pre-softened paste wax!"?
