I Used OC,XMT1,XMT Finishing Glaze And Liquid Souveran. All Of It With The PC.

Thanks for the comment, I Used Optimum Compound, XMT1, XMT Finishing Glaze And Liquid Souveran, It Was Really Bad took me a long time to remove the swirls.

Nice work, Mannyl312! Did you use anything on the trim, or running boards?
It's been too cold over here in PA to do much of anything to my vehicles. Today it got up to a nice, balmy, 30*! So we were outside, chipping ice and shoveling snow to clear out some parking spots.

Looks great!

My DD is a 2001 Expedition. I'm interested in how and what you did with the top (those little drain channels). Still haven't done the top of mine (PC).

Thanks for the comments guys, the top channels I did it by hand but that area was only polished and waxed, didn't use compound over there, was pretty good, and the trims I Put Dressing but After the pics I was in a hurry to catch the last bit of sunlight was getting dark already.

I'm so glad I got OC, it's something slightly stronger than XMT3 and I really needed something like that.

With that said, did you use a yellow pad with OC? I've noticed much more micromarring with OC than XMT3, and was wandering if you did the same? Also, what pad did you then use with XMT1? I've used orange Edge pad with XMT1 after OC/yellow pad, and it's been semi-tough to get out the OC marring. then again, it might just be too cold right now for it to break down correctly.

Did you notice any hiding abilities with the XMT glaze IF there were still any imperfections after polishing?

BTW, the pics look AMAZING!

I used the yellow pad with the OC But din't get much micro marring, guess that clear coat was like rock. but I used then the XMT1 More for Polish With the Orange Edge, then the glaze was to put some deep wet look to the game, That Car was all around swirl marks, I found it really hard to get rid of them even with the OC, I started with XMT3 but i had to step up to the OC and if i had The Hyper Compound I would've step into that one too.
I spent a long time in every panel I found the OC took to long to break down.
But the temp wasn't so bad over here. Maybe I used too much product.

But at the end everything went ok, and the owner was happy and that's all that matters so time spent was paid off.:D
