I was wondering what you guys recommend for a few fine scratches, I don't think the whole car needs to be done just touch up the few spots, it is a black metallic.

thanks

i was hoping not to have to polish the entire car, i was looking for more of a touch up product that I can use on the spots.

You could polish those spots. The only other suggestion I have is a glaze. It will fill those imperfections but it will not last

Just polish the needed areas and decide if you want to do more from there.

Removing scratches by hand without leaving tale-tale signs of scratches from you hand and rubbing process is kind of tricky on modern clear coat paints.

Two products that I've used with success are Ultimate Compound (http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-ultimate-compound.html) and Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover (http://www.autogeek.net/wolfgang-total-swirl-remover-car-polish-3-0.html). In the below article I removed sanding marks by hand next to a raised body line on an El Camino...

I induced straightline scratches by hand, then ran a tape line across the paint, then worked the scratches out by hand using Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover, (4 well worked applications), followed by Wolfgang Finishing Glaze, (2 gentle applications), then striped with 17% IPA

I try to do all my work by machine but there are some places a buffing pad on a machine can't get to or it's risky.
