Hi
If its clear coated there is no problem to coat it with cquartz,
i guess you got the cotton pads in the kit, you can apply with these as well,
should go well as well,if not just contact AG and they will help you out.

My guess it that it is clearcoated.

What are you working on? Have any pictures? If it feels the same as the painted (and clear coated) sections, and has the same gloss, it is most likely clearcoated.

If you don't have the kit; cotton makeup pads will work too. You can pick them up at Walmart for cheap. I do prefer the mf suedes wrapped over the flexible applicator block, as the cotton pads can leave behind a small amount of lint. However it will wipe off when you wipe the vehicle down after the cure time. I found the smooth round ones work best...

if i used m105 with a surbuff, and refining all that with d300/mf cutting disk, should i follow it up with d301 and when i go to wash it just strip off all of the wax since i am applying cquartz? I was planning on using menzerna super finish BUT that takes way longer to work it in..

STRIP the surface after what ever polish you use last, and before applying CQ, it needs to be applied to a super squeaky clean bare surface. I typically spray the paint down with a strong APC and let it dwell for a few minutes while doing my final wash prior to applying CQ. I also typically will do an IPA wipe down after that and just prior to applying a coating. I will admit that MAY be a little over kill, but that's what I do...

i was thinking about using a dawn wash with apc plus in it, apc plus diluted in a spray bottle , and after all that ipa wipe down..

I would rinse after any APC, diluted or not. You do not have to rinse after an IPA wipedown, however. The best option would be CarPro Eraser before applying any LSP, coating, etc.!!! :dblthumb2:
