Question--- Does anyone know..
Will I get better results with a Cyclo Orbital Polisher for small
"spider" scrathes that with a DA polisher? The finish on my Vette has many
fine sratches and swirl marks --the the DA with #83 polish does not remove them

Without seeing the finish, its hard to answer the question completely. But I suspect it would do you one better to move to a more abrasive polish versus another machine. An orange pad, rpms at 4500 or more, and some Poorboys SSR 2.5 or Optimum Hyper should have you blending the scratches in no time. I always follow up with a grey finishing pad and some Poorboys 1.0 SSR to jewel the surface.

Optimum --- use very little (this polish "works" for a long time)
SSR 2.5 --- Spritz the pad with water or QD (one without wax) to keep it going, as you might need to work it a little longer
