You might remember this van that I posted a month or so ago:

Anyway, about a week after sealing it with OG, they had it over in Detroit for dinner, and some douche-bag decided he'd key the sliding door. Thankfully, that's all he did.
Here's what I was up against:

I believe that the OG actually offered some protection against the key as it was not as bad as it could have been! The problem was that I was dealing with paint at around 100 microns so I couldn't do too aggressive a job at wet sanding. My procedure was as follows:
First of all I had to remove the OG from the area. To do that I used my yellow B & S pad with M105. (All polishing was done with my Dynabrade rotary).
The scratches that I could feel with my nail got touch up applied with a pointy toothpick (to get deep into the scratch) the night before.
The next day the area was sanded with 2500 and 3000 grit paper:

I then compounded the area with my awesome black wool Tuf Buf pad with M105 (and the Dyna, like all steps).
That was followed up with my white B & S and M105.
The refining was done with my green B & S and M205.
The area was wiped down with ERASER.
Finally the area was treated to OG again.
A few hours work all told.
