I am confused because I know the g110v2 handles pressure and pad size much better than the PCXP...but the specs do not support that.. what gives?

Don't believe everything you see on paper ;)

It's definitely not that (although the G100 was). I'd call the G110v2 a second generation UDM, but that's just speculation on my part.

Ahh ok. Thanks for the correction :xyxthumbs:

The grippy rubber housings of the G110V2 dampen more vibration than the hard plastic housings of the PCXP and there is some fancy digital cruise control circuit in the speed controller circuitry that increases the power when pressure is applied to the pad. I can feel mine kick up a notch quite often when I do use it. These are just the things that I like about it. I have used both and definitely like the G110V2 better.

If I am not mistaking I think that G110V2 has "cruise control" which means that there is a Tachometer feed back circuit to maintain constant speed. Works like you cruise control on your car. My opinion it's MUCH better than any generation PC.

I know one thing...my hands are kinda sore from working with the PC7424XP. I feel like I'm arthritic now. :-(

The PCXP is worthless using speed 4 and under. The G110v2 has noticeable more power at speed 4, 5, and 6. Especially noticeable on speed 4.

Although GV110V2 handle is more ergonomically design it still has a long way to go. Handle should be isolated and rubber shock mounted, but until then you should use some foam ,rag or anything you can think of to wrap the handle and keep vibration to minimum. I only use it on my car as a hobby, but can see potential damage to your hands for serious users. Again like anything else in safety its "time and exposure" that matter.

Ahhh cruise control...that makes sense. I just could never understand why it was better. now I get it.

Just some food for thought! Most of you guys and gals are young and feel invulnerable but with time and exposure using your hand power tools you WILL pay the price sooner or later. Protect your hands from vibration as much as possible. These tools you are using would never pass industry OSHA standards, but keep in mind where they are designed and manufactured.

At present I am experimenting with some ergonomic handles with anti-vibration for GV110V2. As soon as project is complete will post some pictures.
