Review Time!!!!
Well guys and gals, this will be my first official review, so go easy on me. I didn’t think I’d write a review anytime soon, but I was so impressed with this product that I had to put something together. So without further adieu, let’s get this show on the road!!
So…the product for today’s review is….*drum roll*
Griot’s Garage Paint Prep

Griot's Garage Paint Prep, Griots Paint Cleaner, Prewax cleaner (http://www.autogeek.net/griots-paint-prep.html)
What Does This Stuff Do??? (Taken from AG):
Use Griot's Garage Paint Prep to remove old wax and polysilicones for a squeaky clean start before you polish and wax. This pre-wax cleaner spray preps your vehicle for the best possible finish by promoting better bonding of waxes and a more even shine from polishes. Griot's Garage Paint Prep is the pre-wax cleaner you spray on!
Description:
Griot’s Garage Paint Prep comes in a 35 oz clear bottle. It has no fruity delicious scent, rather a faint metal/chemical scent-but not too bad. Just be aware of wind gusts when spraying this product, or if you really want to protect yourself, wear a mask. It does NOT come with a sprayer, however I highly recommend getting the recommended one.
Griot's Garage Finest Sprayer, Griots Garage Spray Nozzle, Trigger Spray (http://www.autogeek.net/griots-garage-sprayer.html)
The sprayer is of high quality, durable plastic that has a great feel in the grip and it does not leak product while using spraying, like other low quality sprayers do.
Griot’s Garage Paint Prep is a non-abrasive chemical that will not harm your paint and will not irritate your skin (as far as I know), however I do recommend wearing nitrilite gloves just as a precaution when working with any detailing products.
Why Should I Use This Stuff???
After washing with a PH balanced auto shampoo, I clayed the vehicle to remove any bonded contaminants, as well as my previous LSP-or Last Step Product from my previous detail. I then washed the car with 2oz of Dawn liquid detergent mixed with 1oz of Meguiar’s Gold Class Shampoo. So….my LSP should have been stripped right?!?!?! *Buzzer sound* WRONG!!!!!

As you can see, the high quality wax I used still remained on most of the vehicle…”oh no…oh no…what do I do?!?!”
*queue Super Hero Music*
Application/Process:
While the car was still wet from when I washed it the second time, I sprayed the entire vehicle with the Paint Prep. I still had a little less than half the bottle left over. I filled a bucket with fresh clean water and place a chenille microfiber wash mitt into the bucket. WITHOUT wringing the wash mitt out of excess water, I started from the top of the vehicle and worked my way down…”massaging” the product into the paint. After I covered the entire vehicle (minus the windows), I rinsed the product off with my pressure washer. You can clearly see there is no more leftover LSP.
Results
As you can see, the paint is now ready to be corrected. The Griot Garage Paint Prep strips the paint of any leftover products that washing and claying could not remove.

Final Thoughts
I HIGHLY recommend this product. I’m somewhat still a noob/beginner to detailing, but I feel that this product is a must have in your detailing arsenal. As I am still learning the detailing ropes, I’ve come across a lot of comments where people say “it’s all in the prep work.” I’ve come to appreciate this statement….it truly is all in the prep work.
