Hello everyone, I'm very new at this, haven't even bought my first buffer!
But I do have a few collectables {cars, what else}
One is black, my top collectable, and I've polished it say 30 to 50 times, every polish,
then I stumbled upon this site! Volia! Now I'm really intrigued.
As you can see by my caption I have read some on removing swirls, etc.

What does everyone think, I feel the flex is better, but with inexperience can it damage the paint, Does the flex have a slower rotation, or is it is it just safer with the P.C.???

I've uploaded a pic, sure it looks good, but close up, swirls upon swirls, and Now, I can't wait to get rid. Cheers, David

The Flex has a lot more power to do correction work because it's a forced rotation dual action polisher. The Porter Cable and tools similar, (Meguiar's G110v2, Griot's and Shurhold), use what's called a Free Rotating Spindle Bearing Assembly which makes them incredibly safe but also means they have less correction ability.

They are very different tools from a user's experience point of view but kind of the same in that they both rotate a pad and oscillate a pad at the same time.

They are however very safe as they don't have the risk of burning the paint or instilling holograms into your car's paint like can happen with a rotary buffer if you're not careful.
