So has anyone used these pads yet? and with what success?
Can they be used like the Meg's MF pads with the D300/D301?
They are both polishing pads right? so will they have the cut that the Meg's MF cutting pad have?
I would love to use these pads instead of buying the Megs ones, but I don't want to sacrifice quality either.
Any ideas?
Thanks

They work well and are built to last. The cutting pads will be out after SEMA. What's in stock now is just different sizes of the same pad. You won't be sacrificing anything here.

Chris, I used those polish samples you sent me on the Mini I posted here (and at L2D) with foam and wool. I am looking forward to seeing how they play with your new mf system as well!!

I was lucky enough to use them on the Extreme Makeover I must say I have no complaints on how well they corrected the paint we also used the Hyper Compound with them . I really believe it's going to be a winning combo . I used the Meguiars Mf system this week on a 2011 Jaguar XK-R it's to bad I didn't have both pads on hand to compare . I wanted to compare both cutting pads side by side . I'm hoping the OPT cutting pads leave a clearer finish then the Meguiars system .

As far as the polishing pads we used the pictures Mike took after the make over speak for them self's

How will these perform on soft paint? I've already had a not so great experience on my soft Acura paint.

i got a 5.25 and 3.25" pads in yesterday but dont know when I will get to use them. I have used my Megs MF pads a good bit..I know the megs Finishing pad doesnt play to well with my super soft paint on my mustang so I will see how these act with it

snapped this real fast
Optimum on the left Megs finishing pad center and cutting pad right
you can see the Optimum polishing pad is just as thin as the cutting pad for the Megs

I'm also looking to purchase some pads for my spring detail. I have not been impressed with the cut of the 5 1/2 LC flat orange pad and Meg UC. I will either be going with the Meg system or Optimum and so am looking for a review and comparison.
