I have 2000 mustang and the red button on the seat belt clicker is oxidized from a red to a pinkish color. The black cover that goes over the ignition is the same way

Anyone know how to take the ox out safely?

No. Those will need to be redyed. Not very hard to do, just time consuming

You could try a mild polish on the seatbelt buttons and see if that might help, but I doubt it. No such hope for your ignition cover

Yeah, I thought about a polish. Polishes normally leave the white residue afterwords though, due to the porous oxidization. If you scrape them with a piece of fine metal it normally brings back the finish. Just have to figure out how to due it in an even process. Its like scaling a snake without nicking him. hehe

All I found was "vinylex" cleaner, but wasn't sure of the success factor. I wonder if any of the vinyl siding products out there work.
