Has anyone used DA Microfiber Correction System on single stage paint? Not old cars. I am about to work on a Black 2009 Lexus ES350. I have confirmed that Lexus is still using SS paint on black cars. The paint is in good shape, it's just swirled to heck and has a few bird etchings.

I've used it on SS paint but I highly doubt it that a 2009 Lexus uses single stage paint . Have you done a test spot yet ?? you will know if it's single stage paint because the pad will have the color of the pad on it . I wouldn't use the MF system on any Single stage paint I find the pads gum up to fast .

Believe me, I was surprised too. I did a small test panel with 105 and orange LC on a 3401.. Black paint transfer. I confirmed SS paint on several Lexus forums and Autopia.

Well I tried the Micro Fiber system on Single stage paint and within three passes the pad was useless .

Since the MF correction compound has the propensity to gum up the pads, this is what I was afraid of.

The SS Lexus paint may be color specific. I don't think most of the other colors use SS paint. Do a test panel and you'll know.

I'll need to do some research. Its a 2004 Lexus ES330.

Just a thought the color could be mixed in with the clear coat.

The paint on the Lexus was a b'yatch. It was contaminated to heck, I had to clay the hood roof and trunk lid 2X with aggressive clay. The paint laughed at the Megs MF. I had to use a rotary and cutting pad with 105. There was paint transfer on my pads on the cutting stage. I used Menzerna Super Finish Nano on a white pad with a 3401. Then Powerlock to seal the car. It came out nice, but FYI if you are thinking about getting a Lexus skip the Black Obisidian Paint.

Yes, we used it on what was probably a white enamel single stage paint on this 1959 Cadillac..
