Hello,
This 98' MB E-Class was in serious need of a headlight restoration. The owner works next door to my shop so I see the car all the time and night you can barely tell he had headlights on. So I talked to him about the benefits of headlight restoration and he decided to give it try over buying replacements.

Here's a before shot:

Here's the process:
1. Taped up the trim area
2. Wet sand 800 grit
3. Wet sand 1000 grit
4. Wet sand 3000 grit
5. Hand polish Hi Def Bling Polish
6. Apply ClearView Headlight Sealant

Here are the results:http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk105/HiDefDetail/72e98e9e.jpghttp://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk105/HiDefDetail/057b17c9.jpg

Looks better. Will that clear view sealant prevent them from needing to be restored again in a few months.

Seems that most people now are finishing with a coating or spray clear coat or similar to prevent the problem from coming back.

Stephan,
Actually it's called CrystalView and I have been using it since 2008 and I have not had one job come back.
I did use Opti-Seal on a few jobs some time a go, no negative side effects there either. Thus my estimation would be that most any modern nano-sealant will perform well in most situations.
