Well, we are getting ready to move from Ca to Va, so since Im not working, and finally had some time, I thought Id take a stab at actually correcting my wife's daily driven TA WS6.. It was a learning experience, and I knew what I was getting in to, thanks to ALOT of reading on here!!

I didnt get any before pics, because A) Im camera retarded, and B) Im still camera retarded LOL. I couldnt capture the swirls and scratches that were there very well, but I was able to get some decent pics of after.

Ive used waxes from Zaino, and Mequiars before, but have never done any correction until this car. I decided to run with Mequiar's OTC stuff since it was readily available and great stuff IMHO. Overall, I probably got rid of some where between 80-90% of the swirls and scratches. I took the pics before I finished the trim, wells, and tires but what do you guys think?

Breakdown of the car:
2000 Trans Am WS6, Black, black and Black.
70k Daily Driven/Road tripped miles
Hadnt been waxed in a couple years, but washed pretty often

Method:
Gold Class Car Shampoo (Hand washed)
Smooth Surface Clay Kit (QD as lube, where needed)
Ultimate Compound 2 Passes (more for the deeper scratches)
Ultimate Polish 2 passes
Gold Class Carnauba Plus Liquid Wax

On to the goods:

WOW! Two WS6's and in the two best colors! (Like the screen name BTW). Any pics of your SOM? And 70k on that thing! WOW!

Good work. The black 4th Gen. F-Bodies really didn't take much abuse before they started looking like crap. Way to make it drip!

Thanks guys, were both really happy with the results. When i get time, Im going to attack the wheels and see if i cant improve them as well, since they are supposed to be clear coated.

Despite not being waxed recently, this car has been very well taken care of all its life. You can tell by the way it feels over bumps its still very solid, and with only minor stuff wrong with the paint, Im very happy.

My SOM isnt nearly in as good condition as this car, but I do have some pics. Its more of a rough, loud, nearly track ready daily driver. One day, it will get the same treatment to improve the beautiful color.

Great results, especially for working by hand...
