Been looking forward to the call for this car for a while now. Chevrolet made some nice upgrades (finally) to the C6 Corvette for 2012, all wrapped up in the new Centennial Edition. There is alcantara on the steering wheel, door panels, shift boot, console lid, and in the center of the seats. A nice welcome touch. The steering wheel got revised controls and a nice chrome trim ring around them along with a special Centennial badge. The seats have the biggest change with MUCH more support and a racier and more upscale look. They no longer feel like flimsy seats from the 1970's. Even the movement of the seat back is much improved.

Along with the interior upgrades, it gets a special color called Carbon Flash which is a black metallic, just stunning in the sun. For 2012, standard black is no longer available, and only the Centennial Edition gets the Carbon Flash color, also comes with a special satin stripe package. Along with the color is new wheels and tires. Available in gloss or flat, these wheels are killer looking with the red pinstripe that matches the massive ZR1 carbon ceramic breaks, now wearing red calipers. This one was also equipped with the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires which are basically racing slicks and rated at only 3k miles and are BARELY road legal. Finally the fastest corvette comes with tires to match the performance! So here is the top of the line fastest corvette available (for $129,000)...the 2012 Centennial ZR1.

Car was extremely dirty upon arrival and with multiple people handling it, it already had a fair share of scratches and marring, also holograms on the hood from someone "attempting" to buff it, presumably at the factory since no one touched it since it arrived at the dealer. A 1 step correction was performed to bring it back and make it look perfect again. Thankfully the marring and scratches were not deep and some Menzerna 106FA took care of them all with the PC on a white LC pad. LSP was Menzerna Powerlock.

It also showed up with a twin sister car which will be done later this week.

Upon arrival...

After 7 hours, the ZR1 was looking dialed in again.

### that thing was trashed when it showed up, I would have refused delivery. I thought all ZR1s were transported enclosed!

It was transported enclosed. Must have been raining and dusty at the factory...

Good turn around! That Corvette was filthy. :nomore:

I believe this same Corvette was won as a raffle at the Corvette Museum. When I went there in August and they had the same exact car on display that you could win. Here is a picture I took of it.

I'm shocked at how trashed that 2012 ZR1 Corvette came in to you. These cars are the best of the best and come no finer than the ZR1....

Thank you for restoring it to its rightful place....DO NOT GIVE IT BACK!! :nomore:

Thank you. Since the one I did was a sold car, I highly doubt its the same one. Did you get a pic with the VIN in it?

Yep. When I saw the damage in the sun and under the lights I was worried, but the gentle combo sorted it out with ease.

The Corvette King strikes again!

Awesome work, that car is incredible from all the exterior accents to the interior. One of the best looking Vettes I've ever seen. Your work to clean that up is top notch. Im glad they take the time/money to let you clean them up and don't try to achieve those results from the dealership "detailers".

Outstanding turn around sir! The ZR1 looks how it should now, just ***n beautiful!

I have yet to get my hands on one of these at the dealership, but I can't wait! I just love everything about Corvettes. Here are a couple photos of my work I did recently for a Corvette club that came in to see the body shop and watch me detail this Corvette and ask questions along the way.

The question that stood out to me most was, "This ZR1 shouldn't need to be clayed. It's a brand new car!" See how that isn't really a question, but a statement. Vette owners are just like other car owners, some of them think they know everything sometimes (everyone knows a few).

Anyways, I said, after this beautiful ZR1 was transported in its sealed unit it sat on the lot just like the rest of the cars. Bird crap had started to etching through it's carbon fiber roof (which had to be buffed clean) and rain and snow have all laid on it just like any normal car. I then had them all touch the paint and plastic baggie it to see why even new cars need to be clayed (I offered the bags to them and said, give it a shot at home on your Corvettes and if you don't want to clay it, bring it to me here at the body shop ;)).

Anways, back to you, outstanding work on the beautiful Corvette!! I've been seeing a lot of your work up here and its always amazing stuff! Keep it up :xyxthumbs:
