Maybe the water spotting has been here all the time, but with a black car, I seem to notice the water spots more (I've always owned white cars since moving to Atlanta).

I was thinking of a "whole house" water conditioner ?? Or should I stick with something in-line to the hose ??

Any recommendations appreciated.

If you have well water I would definitely have a water softener and conditioner. If you have bad water dry the car off as fast as possible before before the water has a chance to dry on your car. If some water spots form before you dry it, clean them off with paint cleaner or polish right away. I have had good luck getting old water spots off caused from my sprinker system using swirl remover.

waterspots are likely mineral deposits (hard water) or acid rain. Both need to be removed rather quickly or can etch the clearcoat.

I had hard water spots from the sprinkler system from the summer. I got a pc for xmas and it was 24 and sunny so at noon I went out and used the pc and got all my water spots out. Now when spring comes i'll get all my swirls out. I justed need to have the peace of mind that those water spots could be removed and they are so now i'm happy. All I have to worry about is the swirls in the spring now and i'm 100 percent sure I can get those out with some hard work.

Their is a few things for sure; one I have to get from AG a water filter system , A buffer, a spray wand-foamer type.

I'm going to be purchasing that 2 part filtration system for my mobile business. The plan is this: Purchase a semi-cheap dolley from Lowe's or Home Depot. Mount a piece of plywood on the back and then screw in the two canister's with a 4" hose inbetween. I'll have quick connects on both sides for quick access. Being on the back side of the dolley, i'll still have the front in case i'll ever need to move anything and I can easily roll it around whereever I plan too.

I took Sparkie's advice ... pulled the trigger on a deluxe water filter system. A little trip to the local home depot (mounting hardware, posts, scrap wood) and here are the finished results ..

Looks great man!! When I do mine, I'm just gonna use one of those 4" kink protecting hoses for inbetween the two filters.

Have you used it yet??!?!?! Noticed a difference?

That is one nice setup! Awesome!

I'm assuming that with a setup like this waterspots are impossible?

From the picture it does not look like you have a carbon filter. I would think you would need a carbon filter to absorbed the mineral deposits in the water. Please let us know if it works.

I don,t think u need a carbon filter unless you want to take the chlorine out of the water. We have a well and the process goes something like this or as I understand it. Water comes up through the pipe, then it is injected with chlorine mixture and stored in a large tank(chlorinated). Then the water passes through a carbon filter that removes the chlorine. Then the water travels through a salt solution(softener) then it passes through another filter then it is ready.

It appears that AG doesn't ship the carbon filter any longer. While I ordered the deluxe kit (supposed to include a charcoal filter), what ships now appears to be an alternate type (has millions of little copper "BB"s inside the filter). I'm not even sure the re-generation tablets will work with this type of filter, either ??

Any thoughts ??
