New member here after much lurking. I've already learned a lot from the membership here and I thank you for that. In particular thanks to you, Mike Phillips and your insight regarding da polishers. Largely based on your comments I placed an order today for a Porter Cable 7424xp and a selection of 5 1/2" Lake Country pads with 5" backing plate. I will be using it to correct and maintain my new 5.0 Mustang GT as well as a 2000 Mercedes of my daughter's and my ex's new BMW 3 series. That latter two vehicles are the price for using my ex's garage and electricity to do my car. Kind of a win win win situation I guess. Lol.

Anyway, hello to all and thanks for the info you have given me to this point.

The Porter Cable 7424xp dual action polisher armed with Lake Country's 5 1/2" pads and backup plate are a great combination. Use this with the right paint correction products and there's very few situations it can't handle! :props:
