If you detail for a living and are looking for some more business, I had a neighbor approach me about doing their Ford Expedition. I politely declined advising I do not detail for a living and therefore do not carry insurance, that I only do detailing for friends and family. However, I told them I would check to see if I could put them in touch with someone.

They are looking for everthing (wash, clay, polish wax, interior etc)

I didn't really see any major defects, other than some rust along the edge of one of the doors, I'm sure there are swirls galore under the layer of dust and dirt that was there.

I live north about 1 hour and 15minutes from Aurora/Naperville area in Fox Lake. I few questions for you and/or your friend.


They are looking for everthing (wash, clay, polish wax, interior etc)

-Does he want interior shampooing or leather reconditioning? Or is he just looking for a top notch, comprehensive (leather treatment, but not reconditioning) and interior cleaning and dressing?

- Are they also looking for an engine detail?

-Would they like the service provided onsite or off-site?

-It's a large SUV and if hes looking for correction what is he looking precisely for? 2-3 step? And what desired precentage of correction? The reason I ask is the correction process would/may take more than one day to finish. Can your friend be without the SUV for more than a day?

Honestly I'm not sure. This is the first time I've ever talked to the guy. I told them what we had done to my buddies Sentra (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/41690-05-sentra-lots-pics.html) Truthfully, I think they really just want it shined up, and wouldn't be after 100% corrections. The interior actually looked really cleaned and probably wouldn't need anything more than a good wipe down, vacuum and perhaps some spot cleaning. If I see them again, I'll try to get more answers.

They just saw me and a friend working on his car and were impressed by what they were seeing and decided to ask.
