I notice my PC getting really warm when doing a correction. I also notice my 5.5 LC CCS sinking down in the middle, take the pad off to find the backing plate wrinkling in the metal, and hot to the touch. Is this normal? I tried a different pad with same results, never had this happen till now. I dont want to ruin all my pads.

It sounds like you're backing plate might be the problem. Which one are you using?

It sounds like you're backing plate might be the problem. Which one are you using?5 inch that came with the kit. I got a new one that came with my meguires MF system. I just want to make sure its not my PC.

I would definitely switch to the one that came with the MF kit. It is way better. It runs the coolest out of any of the DA BP that I have used.
