Last night I placed my order for the mf system for use with my flex 3401. I bought one pad of each in the 6inch size to fit my flex.

Every post or comment I read on the system everyone seems to be very pleased so I placed my order and took advantage of the fall20 deal.

On to my problem now and I'm a little worried because today I'm reading this system does not do well with the flex 3401 and also with the 6inch size pads. So what do I do? Buy another polisher to go with the mf system.

Thank you in advance for your advice!

Tony

Since you have already bought the stuff, I'd say go ahead and try out the stuff for yourself. It may work to your expectations. If it doesn't, it is cheaper to just go ahead and get some foam pads to go with the Flex instead of getting a new machine. A Flex with foam pads can achieve the same work that the MF does at a faster rate. Most people just enjoy using the MF system with a DA because it doesn't try to "walk" as much as the Flex does and it is easier on your body.

Flex BP is 5.5 inches. Why would a 6 inch pad not work?

Not that it won't work. I guess the six inch pad doesn't work as well as the 5 inch.

That is only on the DA polishers because the 5 inch is easier for them to spin.

See when I bought the flex I thought I was buying a da polisher.

It is a DA polisher, but it also has forced rotation.

The forced rotation of the Flex 3401 appears to be at the epicenter of the complaints. Meguiar's designed their system to work handsomely with their dual action polisher which is the conventional design.

While many have voiced disappointment with the Meguiar's Microfiber Pads and the Flex 3401, others indicate few or no problems at all.

Was just reading about that myself.

The MF system was DESIGNED for a traditional random orbital polisher.

It does NOT work well with the 3401, but go ahead and try it so you can see for yourself.

Well last night while at lowes I checked to see if they had any pc's. They had one left, 7346sp was the model number. It's the same one sold here but different model number and $5 more. so now I just need to change my order before it ships to get the mf kit.

7346 has same speed and amp rating as the 7424, if you have a discount you could get it but ag would be cheaper regardless....
