Scissor Lift for garage

Ceiling is only 9 ft. However, I was watching a video on the CarPro Reload and there was link to another video of 2 guys in nl that showing them doing a full detail and applying CQuartz.

They had a 3 ft scissor lift that looked really cool. Each side had a step to use when the car was up in the air.

I'm just curious as to if anybody knows what brand that lift is.

I would also LOVE to have one for my shop. My ceilings are 11 foot, so I am looking at one that goes up 51 inches or so. Right now I forget the name of it, but a place in Indianapolis, IN has them for $1,350.00. I do a little body work on the side, and it would be handy for that also, but right now my better half say's NO !!!! Someday though.

I already have a four post lift, but I am considering adding this two post portable lift to my arsenal.

I like this lift for three reasons.
1) I can install the bolt holes at multiple locations and work in friends garages.
2) It is jut barely in a weight catagory that i can lift in and out of my truck by myself.
3) It goes just high enough so I can drop engines out the bottom of a car, which I find mych easier than pulling it from the top.

O.K. fellow car nuts. I just had delivered my Atlas TD6MR Portable scissor lift. I can't believe how GREAT it workds. Lifts the vehicle up to 54 inches, and with the truck adaptors goes up to 58 inches.
I will NEVER again have to lay on the concrete floors to do any type of work. Almost as good as winning the LOTTO.

I have 11' ceilings. I have a direct lift 8 pro+. I use it as much for detailing as I do for anything else.

This type of lift is pretty common in the automotive repair industry, primarily for tire shops. Their strong suit is the ability to get a vehicle up in the air quickly. Weak points are lack of access to the center of the vehicle in comparison to a typical twin post hoist. I've done installs in my buddy's tire shop and they're pretty simple. You'll need to drill four holes in the floor with lag screws and inserts, then run some hydraulic hose or pipe to a 110 volt pump. As usual, both USA-made brands or cheaper Taiwan stuff are available, so take your choice. Having a local dealer available is always a good thing.

I bought the TD6MR Mid-Rise lift. It lifts the vehicle up to 54" high, not just 26". Very easy to put together. All you have to do is put the dolly part together with a few bolts, put a plug on the end of the power cord, put the cable on, and hook up one hydraulic hose, and you are done. It is NOT mounted to the floor in any way. VERY easy to set up. Only takes about 20 minutes or so.

Awesome and thanks for the info. I am definitely going to check into this. I don't need a huge lift. I just need it for working on wheels and tires, undercarriage detailing, and polishing.
