For my car anyway..

No major correction was needed, just one spot where the front splitter rubs when it's put on, so here's what I did

Dawn wash (2x)

Wash with Meg Gold Glass

Clay, white Meg clay

Wash w/ Megs

Polish w/ Meg #205

Seal w/ Meg #21

Going to throw on a coat of Griot's Best of Show wax tomorrow

Hasn't been waxed since May, look at that beading:xyxthumbs:

I thought about stopping with the clay, this is after doing the entire hood

Flip side of the clay

I think I need a better method of removing old wax, this is after the 2 Dawn, 2 Meg washes and claying

All taped and ready for #205

Shortly after I started

After the #21 was applied

I should note, most of the marks in the first picture came out, I'll try to get an updated pic.

And yes, I know I probably should use a bigger chunk of clay, but if I drop the small piece not such a big deal ;)

Any suggestions on what I can use to remove the old wax etc?

Looks like green glass....impressive!

Dont forget about the little car that you left out in the rain...looks like it could use a little Aero 303 protectant. :props:

I like your choice of products and the results are outstanding. I would say that your car is ready to to battle with Old Man Winter....:props:

Thanks, normal process is (with all Meg products)

Wash
Clay
Wash
Polish (105)
Polish (205)
Seal (21)
Wax Gold Class Paste

Glass int\ext
tires

However, I got the Griot's starter kit and so far am really liking their stuff, the wash, speed shine, vinyl\rubber cleaner, wheel cleaner. The only two items I haven't tried yet are the wax and clay (those get their turn tomorrow). I may actually start using those as my "normal" products, and keep with the Megs, 105, 205, 21, NXT tire and glass. I haven't acutally used the Griot's vinyl\rubber on tires yet.

And no it's not ready to battle winter yet! Snow tires\wheels still need to go on, probably around Halloween, I'll do the wheel wells then. Plus luckily the car should only see "winter" roads perhaps 4/5 times, GARAGE QUEEN! LOL

I'll try to get some sun shots tomorrow. I'm doing a friends Jetta tomorrow, and have some wet sanding to do on our Windstar.:buffing:
