Hello all, I am Aaron, 27 in the Lancaster, PA area. I just recently purchased a 2006 Acura TL 6MT/Nav and had a question regarding it.

The interior is a very bright light tan color and I enjoy keeping it spotless to the point where the dealer plastic is still on the driver's floor. lol

My driver's seat is showing light creases, I realize leather will just do this over time but I'd like to dye the side back bolster and lower side portions where these creases are. I figure with dyeing to mask the wear and conditioning twice a week as I do I can keep the seat in pretty good shape.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about doing this? I found specific color dye but do not have any experience with it and am wondering if DIY is the best bet. There's also plenty of good interior reupholstery shops around if that would be a safer choice.

Thanks in advance!

Here's a quick snap of the car at my father's in the fun rain:

Hi Aaron,

Welcome to Autogeek Online!

I'm confident we have members that could give you some advice on dying your leather but you'll get more replies if you start a thread in the Detailing 101 forum with a title that tells others what you're working on and what your questions are.

Right now your title reads,

New from PA

And no one is going to know you have leather questions when they see that kind of title show up on the most "Recent Threads" page or if they check out the list of "New Posts".

So no one is going to know you're asking questions about detailing your car, they see the title and assume you're only introducing yourself. Thus... you probably won't get many replies.

A better option is to introduce yourself here... and then ask your questions in a forum group like Detailing 101 (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/) and give your question thread a title that gets the right kind of attentions, like,

A few general questions about taking proper care of my car?

Here's a few articles on this topic...

Thanks for the replies and direction. I meant to start a specific thread but wasn't sure which forum to choose. :)

Welcome to AG! Also, welcome from a fellow PA resident. I don't think I've read much on here about leather dye but maybe read this http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/33919-repair-leather-cracks-remove-dye-transfer.html Seems to be a few good posts about the leatherique kit.
