Hey everyone,

Just picked up a Dewalt 849X today.......Awesome:xyxthumbs:

The soft start has a burst of speed then goes back to
dialed in rpm. It helps picking up a bead, is that what
they intended? I can't think of any other reason.

The dust/lint filters are cool, since I like using blended wool

My first victim is going to be a 40' RV, can't wait

It's really sweet!
I detailed a 40' RV for
The break in and it exceeded
all my expectations.

-Quiet
-Smooth
-Powerful

And pretty light, my shoulders
were sore from the RV but a car
would be no sweat.

It's pretty cool, there's two screens or whatever
You want to call them on the outside, one on each
Side to trap wool, fuzz from getting into the machine.

I have used super cheap polishers, Makita's, older Dewalts and test drove a few Flex models and I have
To say for the price it's like driving a Cadillac.

I actually love the Makita. I've never even felt the desire to buy something else. I've always wanted to try a Flex. But the new Dewault sounds interesting. Maybe I can convince a buddy to buy it so I can try it, haha. :xyxthumbs:

I currently own the "X", the older dewalts, makita, dynabrade buffer (not DA), MILWAUKEE and the flex PE-14 as well as a few other buffers. I was thinking about doing a comparison write up soon on them. Any interest in that?
