I wasn't too impressed with the Purple Foamed Wool on a DA polisher. What about a Surbuf pad? They cut very fast from what I have heard.

PFW works great with the 3401.

Your best bet is using an LC yellow foam foam cutting pad or an HT Cyan pad with the 3401. If you want more cut, use a traditional DA, yes I said a traditional DA with a MF or Surbuf pad, or use a rotary.

I get good results with LC foam pads and surbuf pads.

Yellow foam is the most aggressive from Lake Country... Stay away from wool pads on the 3401..

Mark, sorry about the painful divorce. I hope you and Flex can eventually be friends. At least there aren't any children involved.;)

This past weekend, I used the Lake Country Yellow with my Flex 3401 along with WG Total Swirl Remover. Little effort and excellent results. I was able to rid some mild scratches and the swirls were no problem.

I still use lc orange with my flex. It seems to offer more cut than a cyan pad. If I need any more cut than those, I pull out the rotary.

lol...it's an easy divorce. However, I really want to like my 3401, I just can't find the cut with it like I can with a traditional DA.
