I have 3 fairly large and old sap stains on my roof. How old I don't know, but the car is 10 years so it could be very old. I have tried everything, alcohol, APC, Goo Gone, and nothing has put a dent in these things. Is it time to give up and wet sand them?

I've been successful with carefully using some Scraperite razor blades with plenty of QD lube.

Try warming it up first with a blow dryer or several times with a hot towel, This has the best chance of softening it up. Once as warm as you can get it, take a razor plastic razor blade and carefully scrape it off.

Commercial solvents like Klean Strip Prep-All are made for use on painted surfaces and should aid in it's removal as well...

Is it a blob on the paint or the sap removed and left a stain? I have removed old (1+ years) blobs of sap easily with Stoner's Tarminator.

Thanks. Will give the razors a shot. Have already tried to warm, both with hot water, and air... they didn't even flinch.

Edit: No longer a blob, more of a very flattened remnant, not a stain though as it is still slightly raised.

Stoner Tarminator and plastic razor blades have never let me down.

I use ice cubes on old blobs of sap, cold crystalizes sap and by slowly rubbing cube over spot old sap will come off of surface, you still might have etching to deal with
