the forced rotation tools such as the Flex xc3401 vrg and the Makita BO6040,can it meet or exceed the performance of these tools?

I would say it can exceed these tools if you use MF pads. If you are just using foam pads, I would say that the Flex would smash it in the time it takes. The GG DA can achieve the same results, but it will take more time with foam pads.

Give some consideration as to whether you would like to use a machine that vibrates and annoys you at a rate much higher than the correction it gives or if you would rather use a smooth running machine like the 3401 that is enjoyable to operate.

I believe it's easier to make a mistake with the Flex versus the Griot's, too. Isn't that right? (I don't have one.)
