My truck got flood damage and the motor is hydrolocked and needs a new one. So I am in the process of put a 5.3l LSX with custom front mount turbo.

I will make sure to update this thread with pictures as the project gets underway

I'm interested! I want to turbo my 6.0 LQ9. I prefer the front mount over the STS type. Do you know of any vendors who sell front mount kits?

Front mounts for trucks? You'ld be better off having one fabbed up by a shop, I have a custom front mount on my 427 LSX in my TA that's in my avatar.. It's not cheap either way but one-off is better then mass produced anyways

Check of plans for now guys going with the 5.3l 224/224 112 lsa, pulleys, headers, dyno tune, and maybe some nitrous :)

I didn't get the amount I wanted from the insurance company so the turbo is going to have to wait for now

I think STS kits are only good for numbers. When it comes to real performance they really don't do much

I got to do a little work on a twin turbo Camaro and that thing was nice. I'll have to find out who made the kit because I can't remember off the top of my head. It was custom built and the shipped here to be installed on the car so a little fab work was still needed. I just did a little work before it was complete bu it was almost done
