Changing products would like advice

Hello everyone. I have a 2008 silver Vetter and i have been using Zaino's and i have decided to try something different. I am happy with Zaino's i just want to try other products. My initial thought is to do the following..

Dawn wash
Pinnacle clay bar
Pinnacle advanced swirl remover (i know it's silver and swirls dont really show up)
Pinnacle paintwork cleansing lotion
Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant
Pinnacle liquid soveran wax
Pinnnacle crystal mist carnauba detail spray

What is everyone's opinion on this?

Looks good!

Although I'm not sure how necessary the paintwork cleansing lotion is after claying and polishing. Personally I would skip that step, but I'll leave that one up to you.

There are allot of nice products available through Autogeek!

Will you be working with a machine or by hand, it does make a big difference.

Wash

Perhaps a better choice for washing your Corvette would be Duragloss 901. Thus us my favorite wash and it's priced just right.

The 6 1/2" diameter pads a Porter Cable 7424 in my opinion pushes the limit of the machine and this could be part of the problem.

I have the Porter Cable 7424 and found a world of difference when I decided to try Lake Country 5 1/2 diameter pads.

The Porter Cable 7424 style dual action polisher should come standard with 5 1/2 inch pads and corresponding backing plate.

If you use the swirl remover, you will not need to use the paintwork cleansing liquid but it can be useful later when not polishing to clean up paint prior to sealing.

As for the polish in a one step, I would suggest something that will leave the paint glossy even if there are swirls possibly like Menzerna Power Finish.

Also, you have chosen a protect combo, but I would evaluate how the WG DPS looks after 24 hrs prior to applying the Pinnacle wax.

I agree with what Bunky is telling you...Use a polish that will finish nicely and leave

a nice gloss to your paint. Also, for your LSP (Last Step Process) the WGDGPS can

leave your vehicle to the point you want it looking! However, when using a sealant

I like to amp it up or make it a warm glow by adding a carnubba wax. Good luck with

Thanks for all of the suggestions. The only reason i am using the Dawn is to assist in removing the Zaino's. Since dawn has such a low PH it is great for the "initial" cleaning when changing products. Even Zaino's suggest using Dawn before doing the clay bar or every 6 months when re-applying the product. For normal washes i use Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo..

I will be doing everything by hand. I have a 7424 but for some strange reason i prefer doing it by hand?...

By the way, my paing is in excellent condition, always protected with Zaino's since day one.. My goal is not to restore but to maintain...

I under your need to try something else. I have done the same thing. But, at least from my experince, expect for polish, nothing beats Zainos all around,
