Light Dust

Greetings,

What would you suggest to remove dust from a freshly detailed car? Sometimes after a wash and wax....I won't drive it until the following weekend and by then there is light dust from opening and closing of the garage door throughout the week. Do you just use a mf towel and lightly go over the paint or some sort of duster?

Need something that would remove the light dust without creating swirl marks. TIA! :xyxthumbs:

Detail spray and a soft MF.

Thanks guys. I presume just using a mf towel can create swirls with the dust sitting on top of the paint but do you think the QD will remove some of the shine when it was just waxed but not driven yet for a few days. Thanks!

As long as the sealant or wax has had at least 12 hours of cure time the quick detailer will not remove the shine...it will give the car some more shine.

For light dust you have several options.



Waterless wash and a couple of Microfiber towel
Detail spray and a Microfiber towel
Rinseless wash and a couple of Microfiber drying towels

Great....thanks guys for the help. Looks like it's going to be QD/wateleas wash with mf towel after 12 hours as I don't have an air compressor at this time. I always thought QD would would remove the shine after a nicely waxed/polished car and therefore only use QD/waterless wash after the car has been driven. Will definitely use it after 12 hours if the car has been sitting. Thanks! :dblthumb2:

For loose dust I do not think you need splaying QD, a gentle swipe of very plush MF towel will remove dust safely. :)
