Hello all. Today we've got a gorgeous blue BMW 335i coupe to work on. It was scheduled for a two step correction. I really enjoyed working on this car since it's one of my favorite colors on any automobile out there. Here is the process used:

Wheels and Tires
Wheels cleaned with Sonax FE
Tires and wheel wells cleaned with Optimum Power Clean 3:1
Tires Dressed with DP Tire Gel 1:1
Wheel wells dressed with Adams Undercarriage Spray
Wheels Sealed with Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant

Wash and Decon
Foamed with DG 901 mixed with OPC to strip LSP and remove any loose debris
Washed via 2BM with Ultima Shampoo and Griots MF sponge
Clay with Ricardo Yellow Clay with Dodo Juice BTBS as lube
Iron X used on paint to remove embedded iron particles
Windows cleaned with Meguiars Glass Cleaner
Trim dressed with Muc-Off tire and Bumper Dressing

Correction
Compounded with Poorboys Compound on Cyan HT Pad on Dewalt Rotary
Polished with M205 on Tangerine HT Pad on PCXP

LSP
DG Nano Polish

So onto the pics!

First up I took care of the engine bay. It wasn't terribly filthy, so a light cleaning with OPC, then a rinse, followed by Autoglym Rubber Care did the trick.

There was a bit of old wax residue on several places on this vehicle.

It was all cleaned up with various brushes and OPC

The car was foamed and various areas were agitated to removed embedded dirt that wouldn't be cleaned with normal washing.

The exhaust tips were also cleaned, and then polished with collinite Metal Wax

One thing that I noticed was that the fender marker lamps weren't looking all that great. Here is a 50/50 after removing the haze with the same products used on the paint.

And here they are all cleaned up and reinstalled on the car.

Now we get to the paint. It wasn't in terrible shape, but it did have some swirls, as well as a few deeper defects. Here is one area that had some of the deeper defects that were removed.

and removed

Here is a look at the swirls. It was overcast out the first day of this detail so an LED light was used to get a good look at the defects. The majority of the car was covered in similar swirls.

And here is a 50/50 shot after only being compounded.

The sun peaked it's head out a little on the second day so I was able to grab some full sun shots. About 90% of the defects were removed on the car except for the hood which has some severe water etching which about 80% was totally removed.

And finally one shot that I played with in GIMP to try and get an HDR look...just having fun here.
