Hopefully Ill be getting a PC in the next few weeks and I was looking at pad kits, I was leaning towards the Edge kit bc of all the good things I hear about them on here, is there any other pad kit yall would recommend for a rookie?? I want something that will be able to do almost everything and not have to buy more pads for at least a few months.

Thanks for the help amigos.

cannot do wrong w/ LC pads or Edge pads, I like the two-sided approach of the Edge pads currently.

If you are just detailing your own and family and friends they should last you a year. You should only have to do a complete run down (detail) maybe 3 times a year (if that) if you get your washing technique(sp?) down to an art with no scratching.

I like the LC pads that I got with my Poorboys kit. I recently just bought some news ones, even though the original ones are still great!

Yeah, I agree I like LC pads too now. I think if I were in the situation today, I would want those CCS pads. Those look HOTTTT!

Edge all the way, especially if you own a truck, quicker and easier.

Edge. Best foam pads on the market.

My vote is for the Edge 2000 kit - The Edge Dual Action 6 Inch Kit includes The Edge 2000 DuraFoam Pads & a dual action Edge Adapter. edge foam pads, double side pads, polishing pads (http://autogeek.net/foam-polishing-kit.html)

:iagree: :iagree: Edge 2K all the way. I've never used a PC or pads and the Edge 2K pads are so easy to use that anyone can use it. I'm actually considering purchasing another set as a back up...can never have enough pads if you ask me :D

well I think I have my mind set on the edge set for 99$ you cant really touch it. Now if I only had a PC, im debating wheter or not to buy the whole edge kit from AG for 260 or get the PC from lowes for 99 and than order just the pads

I purchased my PC from Lowes but if I did it over again I would just get the kit from AG. Much better customer service just in case something goes wrong with the PC. I prefer the Edge 2K pads.

Buy the Edge/PC kit from AG IMO. Once you have your Edge 2K set-up(pads & adapter) then you can just replace the individual pads that you use the most and wear-out. Think that you will find that you will use the XMT conditioner & cleaner every time you use your PC.
