We just bought a used 2008 MBZ C350. Since I do all our cars and other family members and friends the prep and detail is straight forward for me however I do have one question for anyone who has dealt with this. The car has the panorama roof, that's why she wanted this one, and to clean up that large peice of glass I would normally just use KAIO and then seal with whatever I am using on the car. This though appears to have some bright finished plastic strips surrounding the glass, what is the consensus on that KAIO ok or tape off to be safe? I've actually not seen the car in sunlight yet so not really sure what the make up of the strips truly is but they looked like plastic, a piano black kind of finish, if you get my drift. No pics yet she just got it last night. Oh it's artic white, really good shape(no swirls that I saw under the dealer's lighting) inside is pristine and will be garaged so it's the tried and true DG 601/105 treatment topped with a coat of 845 the next day. That's what I use on all light colored cars but have been switiching up to opti coat for ones abused on a regular basis (like her truck). Thanks in Advance!!!
