I live in NY, just not central :awman:
If you can't find anybody in that area, just try watching some videos that Mike Phillips has made.

Yea I have been reading a lot on here and learning a lot. I can almost find the answer to any question I have if I search the forums because it's been discussed before.

If you don't find anyone I have two suggestions for you.
1) Go to the junk yard and buy a trashed hood or fender to practice on.
2) Jump in with both feet.
Good luck. And :welcome: to the forum.

If you're using a DA, not a rotary; you follow the advice on the forum, and you don't reuse any pad or towel that falls on the floor without washing it first; then the only thing you can hurt is your neighbor's pride! Go for it! Try it out on an old panel from a junk yard as suggested if you're a little queasy about it. It really is a lot of fun (in a twisted sweaty kind of way). :buffing:

Saratoga is wicked nice! I am 30 minutes from Syracuse. I'm not scared to get started but doing everything by hand until maybe next year hopefully can afford a DA.
