After completing a customers car, do you give them an invoice?

If so, what type; generic or preprinted with your company information?

Do you find most customers want an invoice or don't care?

Thanks,
Greg

they are good to keep all there info on and for you to have it. so you can email or call them for sales or to tell they its time to renew the wax/sealer. I also keep them for the tax man and to look back to tell me when most of the work is coming in and how long I spend on them.

I rarely have had a client ask for a receipt, in all the years i have been detailing, clients reach in their pocket and take out what's owed. Regardless of the amount, but i have to say that the majority of my clients are successful bussiness owners and professionals who are really not affected much by handing out a few hundred dollars.

I like writing up a brief receipt if they want, but not on a regular basis.
I used Vistaprint's notepads and edit the text to make a receipt book it was cheap and works great, used my logo also, looks very pro.

I keep some generic receipt books on hand if they ask for one they get it! Most don't ask.

I get mine at office depot about 5-6 bucks for triplet booklet.
