Actually, I see this could be an opportunity for dremel. Make a gear reduction 90 degree head, could also have an orbital head system or be rotary. Have LC develop some 1.5" pads.

Sounds very possible to me!!

they should make this, i made a custom bit for my dremel to attatch part of a old foam waxing pad with some hook and loop material and it works great for small interior parts i paint, works good for applying wax when there installed back into the car.a 1" orbital would work great for polishing scratches out of clear coated rims ect...someone needs to come out with a 1" be surprised how many will use it . this is just my opinion though.

and yes with my dremel bit you can get buffer trails LOl..was quite funny seeing em on such a small project

Exactly, if you had an intricate set of wheels to polish or Chrome trim, Perfect. They already make a 90dg dremel attachment, all we need is a foam ready backing plate mount

well i have came across some 1" backing plates with 1/8" shaft so that would work with the dremel now just need the pads basicly....wood working shops have them for sanding insides of bowls...could always custom make some pads, sticky velcro sticks good to the foam wax applicators...
