3M Scotch Guard Auto on convertible top fabric?

Has anyone here ever applied 3M Scotch Guard Auto on the fabric of a convertible top?

Yes.
But it was about 30 years ago. And I have used the "Auto formulation" too. I think it is just a slightly thicker solution than the regular kind.
I think there are better solutions available today.
Like;

But I have no idea about what either product actually is. I have used Scotch Guard on almost every fabric you can think of over the years, and it has not harmed any of them. For all I know Raggtop may be Scotch Guard under another name.
