I tried a search, but didn't seem to find much at all.

What is the preparation for Dr. Colorchip as it relates to polishing a car.

I have a 2008 Honda Accord (nighthawk black pearl) with rock chips and road rash all over the front of it. She also has a pretty good amount of swirling going on that I intend on correcting when I get my hands on a DA.

Do I do the Colorchip first, and then go over it with a 105 and a DA (after curing I'd imagine), or do I do the polishing/compunding first, and follow it up with the Colorchip?

compounding/polishing first, then colourchip

wait 7 days, then add your sealant/wax

or use some OPC/dawn/prepsol to remove any existing wax on the chipped area, use the Dr. Colourchip, then wait 30 days before polishing...

OK...thanks Tim. It doesn't sound like Dr. Colorchip will leave raised spots to worry about, so I was wondering about going down to that level...I'm hearing that Hondas are soft.

I'll get some pics up soon one day. Raining pretty hard here now and it sounds like Irene is going to wash out the weekend as well.

At least I may be able to post a beading-water shot.
