What do you do with old foam polisher pads that lose their backings?

I cut them up into small sections and use them to apply cleaners, polishes and protectants in tight spaces.

I cut them up into sections and use them as applicators for a variety of things (most often tires)

I use them for target practice. I place them on clothes lines, tree stumps, stick them on poles and assign each color a different point value. Then my friends and I have fun plinking away with 22.s. I have a big back yard with a lot of trees, so there's no danger of strays going where there not supposed to.

Some I use on black rear view mirrors/arms; and black hard plastic trim around windows on my motorhome. It turns them black. Next I toss them.
