I as a customer's residence last week when I told that her son was coming in from a business trip. She wanted to get his Jag detailed for him. She told me it was pretty clean but he did keep a little dog with him in it while traveling. Great. At least it was just a car and not a full sized SUV!

Here's the process:

Wash, Wheel, and Tires

Washed and clayed with Poorboy's Super Slick & Suds.
(Used wash ShMitt and Meguiar's Clay)
I'm so glad I found out about this wash! So many suds! The ShMitt just glided over the car as did the clay.

Cleaned wheels with Wheel ShMitt and Meguiar's Wheel Brightner
(Used rubber gloves and WB was cut 4:1)

Paint Polishng & Protection

Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover
(Used EDGE2K Yellow Cutting Pad at a #6 PC Setting)
Boy this thing was scratched. I believe that 75% of the car was resprayed as well. Lots of sanding marks under the paint. Oh well, I can only do what I can do.
Here's a half & half shot.....

ASR did pretty well considering. I had to use lot's of pressure with the PC. I can't wait till I'm more comfortable with the rotary.

Pinnacle Final Finishing Polish
(Used EDGE2K Orange Polishing Pad at a #5 PC Setting)
I wanted to really amp up and remove any more possible swirls so I chose a middle step on this one. I didn't use much pressure and moved alot faster than I did for swirl removing. All I wanted to do was just "amp" up the polished finish. FFP did this. No dusting and came off easy. Took out any marring that was left previously. I can see myself using this for LSP prepping on new cars.

Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax
(Applie by hand with foam applicator pad)
Well, it says it's good on dark colors so here was Souv's chance. Holy crap! The entire car looke like molten green liquid. It added so much depth that I waited 15 minutes after taking off the first coat and added a second! Glad I did. So easy to use. I applied and removed two coats in under 45 minutes. Used very little product too. I'm so glad I have tried this king of waxes.

Other Products Used:

DP Total Interior Cleaner
(Used on the leather and plastic surfaces with a new Wheel ShMitt. WOW! Just look.)
Foaming up....

DP Interior Protectant
(Applied with MF Mitt to all plastic surfaces)
Wolfgang Leather Conditioner
(Applied to all leather surfaces with MF covered applicator. An awesome conditioner. Smells like new leather.)
DP Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner
(Sprayed on clean carpets, agitated and extracted with MF towel and vacuum.)
Eagle One Tire Shine
(Another sample for me to try. The spray was very controllable and looked good. Dried to the touch in about 30 minutes. If you like shiny tires, this is good stuff. This customer does.)
DP Krystal Vision Glass Cleaner

***All interior wood trim was treated with Souveran Paste Wax***

Wow excellent job as usual. That car needed serious help. I am sold on DP interior cleaner, it will definitely be in my next order.

Justin I have a question for you... I actually detailed a car last night, which they have a dog too. I could not get all of the darn dog hair out of the carpet and the seats. The floors looked like yours, but I could not get all of the hair out, whats your trick?

Hey Meghan: I've found one of the better tools for removing dog hair is those rollers with sticky for clothing. I've got a rescued pitbull and black lab and the pit has tan colored short hair that is impossible to vacuum.

The roller works great. Or, another method is taking good 'ol duct tape and picking up the hair with the sticky.

Thanks! I vacuumed forever and got most of it, but some did not want to let go of the carpet.

Use an anti-static spray first. My favorite? Liquid fabric softener 20:1! Snuggle is the best. This will loosen the hairs and leaves a nice scent. Then, blue rubber gloves. Just run you hands over the carpet and the hair will just pile up for vacuuming.

I'm NOT demoing this at Detail Fest! No pets allowed!!!!

LOL!

Nice job Justin! Wheel schmitt on interior hum. Question: You said new wheel schmitt and it looked like it had the waffle look like the wash schmitt did they change the design? Mine is flat. Any inprovement that you can see with that schmitt? Well another question: PB SSS can you compare it to DP Extreme Foam or Duragloss Soap if you have used them? Thanks

I am always so excited to see your work Justin. You use such a variety of brands, and that always seem to impress me. Great work.

Great job, bro! I'm glad you are liking Poorboy's SS&S. I love this shampoo! It's very slick, has very good cleaning power.
Wolfgang leather conditioner is one of the best in the world. It's very similar to Pinnacle LC, Pinnacle is a little thicker though.

Poorboy's SS&S is a slicker then DP Xtreme Foam Formula or Duragloss. In a foam gun it does produces a little less foam (never used Duragloss in a foam gun). Slickness is very similar to Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo, which is my other favorite. Pinnacle uses natural cocomut oil for lubrication, and that's what makes it a little pricey.
