There is also another product that i've seen used at my dealership is comes in a gold type can like ajax NOT AJAX it's called bosomy or something like that it's suppose to polish the glass.It's sold in your local supermarket

My 04 Tribute had some water spots on all the glass.

I tried the SSR1 that Meghan included as a little bonus and the glass is crystal clear. It was applied with a MF applicator, rubbed until dust and wiped clean. I finished it off with Stoners and it's the best it's looked since new.

I'm learning that so many items have more than one use!

I've read where newspaper is a good tool to use to dry windows. Do any of you use this method and if so, is it good for inside and outside glass?

I only use newspaper loosely crumpled up into a ball to dry my windows but I make sure not to use anything with color just black and white nothing with color on it because the colored ink will streak. A bucket of water, rectangular sponge, soak the sponge in water, sqeeze it to get most of the water out, spray your glass cleaner on the sponge, rub a section of glass to be cleaned, turn the sponge over, rub the same section again, dry off with the crumpled newspaper. Throw the sponge into the bucket of water, sqeeze it a couple of time to get the dirt out and start the process all over again. That's what I do and it keeps everything neat especially when doing the interior of the car. The newspaper goes a long way, just depends how wet the sponge is.

Forgot about the rear window, if there are defrost elements, use a soft towel and not a newspaper, dry in the direction of the elements so a not to scratch them.

I liked the remark about lint and I know the microfiber products do not leave a lint, but when the sun or bright light hits the windshield in a certain way, I can see the little bits or hairs that the microfiber towel left behind.


I have the same problem. I actually found this post by looking for an answer to the problem. I end up using paper towels to remove the MF lint. Seems kind of counter productive.
