So now that i finally got my most kick ass detail as of yet done 2010 772 HP BLACK Camaro SS...Swirl City - Auto Geek Online Auto Detailing Forum (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/39687-2010-772-hp-black-camaro-ss-swirl-city.html)

and got some really good before/after photos shows what we can do i feel its time for me to make some flyers!

I figure these are much easier to hand out at car shows etc and SHOW them what we can do (with before and after pictures) rather than try to explain to someone about something they've probably never heard of (swirls and perfect paint). Let them see there is a world beyond the wax! (Hey thats pretty good...i should copyright that).

So, my idea is since the 4 main things we do are of course exteriors (paint correction), interiors, engine detailing and headlight detailing I was thinking about having 4 before and 4 after pictures (before in left margin and after in right), one set per subject (paint, interior etc) and then have a short description describing what we do and what it is that they see done in the photos.

Then on the back side i think i'll have my RV services listed and some pictures there.

Hows that sound first of all?

Second of all...i want to use this website (great prices, did my business cards w/them and they turned out great) Full Color Printing: Business Cards, Postcards, Flyers, Brochures, Catalogs & More! - GotPrint (http://gotprint.net/g/showStaticPage.do?page=download_templates-flyer.html)

If you click that link it shows their templates. The thing is i dont have any special software like photo shop etc to make my flyers and don't really know how to use 'templates'....soooo anyone who is experienced in these sort of things have some advice?

thanks all

Serif's PagePlus desktop publishing program might be just what you're looking for to design your templates. It's very full featured, comes with lots of templates, and it's free.

I have no commercial interest, but I've bought several versions of their programs and always been happy. Web Design, Photo Editing and DTP software | Serif – Inspiring Creativity (http://www.Serif.com)

My advise on the flyer is less is more. people dont really read them especially if thier is a lot of writing. Go with a few keys words, your number/contact info/web site. The point of flyers is to get people to your web site to get more info and see your work. I dont know about you, but when ever I get a flyer in my door or car I just glance at it. Just my advice. I'm a fan of keep it simple stupid.

Keep it kind of simple. I make Car Show signs, flyers, banners and shirts. If you need any help, let me know.

Hey Scare same question....i'm ok with loading pictures and doing a simple design..i guess the main thing im having an issue with is actually working with the jpeg template that the site i listed in my opening post says i have to use to make sure everything fits etc...but i dont know how to USE that template lol...hope im making sense.

I would use Microsoft publisher if you have it, I use photo shop since I took graphic design for a while.
Also, you could probably create something in PowerPoint or even ms word an that could work.

I will try to figure out how to post my flyer on here that I made in photoshop if I can figure it out.

New to the forum, first post actually!
Been a long time reader but finally decided to join in.

Welcome man! If you want to upload a photo...the best way is to make your photo 'forum friendly' in size (usually 50kb or less) and them upload it to the AG photo album. Then after its uploaded right click it and 'copy image location' then just come back here and click the 'Insert Image' icon at the top of your tool bar and post the link in there :dblthumb2:

Im still just not getting how to work with the templates though

Search Craigslist for graphic designers. Thats what I did and my flyers and business cards came out amazing. They are underpaid in their day jobs and kill for the opportunity to make money on the side.

Shoot me a PM and I will send you a link to my Craigslist advertisement where you can see examples of the work I got done through a graphic design person I hired off Craigslist.
