OK, I'm a little confused here. I have been looking at the different D/A's that are available and have seen the different OPM's they operate at.
Ex: Cyclo-3000 opm, Flex 3401-3200-9600, Griots & PC 7424-2500-6800.
Now, the Cyclo Model 5 Pro is variable from 650-3000 opm-----my question is: why do you need such a 'slow' rate on the Cyclo Model 5 pro? Are there any advantages to this?
Thanks!!!

Spreading polish on pad before starting correction is easier with slower speeds. Creates less chance of splatter. Also, if you use your polisher to spread a thin layer of wax or sealant, slow speed is necessary. And if you are going to jewel the finish, you need a slow speed (can you really jewel with a DA). I don't know the answer but if you can, it would be at a slow speed. I'm sure there are mire but that is the best I can do with my limited knowledge.

I use Ultrafina @ 1800 rpm's to jewel.:buffing:

Slower speeds
Spreading product
Finishing using a fine polish such as Meguiar's M205 - Speed 3 to 4
Applying sealants and waxes - Speed 3

^^^Bobby, what would you use the Cyclo's low speed setting for--650 opm's or anything below 2500 opm's?
Thank you!

That's good to know. I have never jeweled with a DA but on the Flex PE 14, I use Mike Phillips' suggestion of 600 RPM. What pad are you using?

Using a blue 3M finishing pad.

I've never used a Cyclo before so looking at it logically my guess is that the uses should be the same.
